The story behind the making of this timely film includes inspiring dedication by a small group of students.
Director and Professor Rift Fournier (1936–2013) was best known for talk shows and episodes of “Charlie’s Angels”, “Highway to Heaven” and “Kojak” among others. In semi-retirement and teaching film near St. Louis, Fournier met an individual who benefited from a program for offenders. Engaged by the story, he developed a plan for this documentary and enlisted his students in the project. He prevailed upon Stacy Keach to provide distinctive narration. A third of the way through production Fournier was diagnosed with cancer, passing away October 6, 2013. Fournier stated that he wanted his students to finish the film.
